Here's a recent illustration I did for Sound and Vision Magazine. They did a great job with the design of the spread and keeping a constant look with the illustration. I love David Lynch and the project was a lot of fun. The article is an interview with David Lynch talking about his new album called Crazy Clown Time. I'm very sorry to say that my show, "Everything That Can Expire" will not be opening March 12th due to circumstances beyond my control. However, the show is only being postponed and will still take place. Jesse and myself have put a lot of work into this and are going to make sure that a date is set in stone. I will keep you posted.

I had the pleasure of being a part of one of the first First Friday Shows at the Porter Gallery a couple of years ago. But unfortunately this will be their last show. Josh has done an amazing job running the gallery and getting people together for a very fun evening. If you are in the Long Beach area be sure to check it out.

National Forest Design

Recently, I had the opportunity to intern with Steve Harrington and Justin Kreitmeyer over at National Forest. Both guys are amazingly talented and I learned a lot over the last few months getting to work closely on projects with both of them. One of the last projects I got to be a small part of was a series of large banners for Target at LA Live in downtown LA. It's extremely inspiring seeing a project of this scale come together from start to finish. The other day Steve sent me this video of the installation. The work is great so take a look.

Everything That Can Expire

Well, there's been some slight delays and some scheduling issues but it's finally set in stone. The Everything That Can Expire Show is set for March 12th at the Continental Gallery in Downtown LA on Gallery Row. The show is a collaboration with artist and friend Jesse Dickenson. I'll have some updates and progress photos soon but at the moment I'm busy preparing for the show. Hope to see you there.

Jesse Dickenson and I are working on a new show at the Porter Gallery in Long Beach, February 4th. The show will be called Everything Will Expire and deals with the idea of all things coming to an end and making a departure from old work to create new. I wanted to document the process up until the show with studio pictures and paintings.

I've been doing a lot more design based work lately and really enjoying it. I was hesitant to share at first since it wasn't illustration but now with a building body of work I'm beginning to see parallels between the two (my illustration and design work) and more of a cohesive thought process rather than just a "style" or execution. So here's an antipasto label I did months back. I have few more projects I'm finishing up and I'll share soon. Hope you enjoy.
